An organization critical of President Donald Trump will hit the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with a lawsuit on Monday.

National Security Counselors (NSC), a nonprofit public interest law firm, will sue DOGE on Monday afternoon and allege that Elon Musk’s cost-cutting advisory organization violates an existing law that sets rules for things like disclosure and hiring practices at executive branch advisory committees, the Daily Caller News Foundation confirmed. NSC has been highly critical of Trump and Musk in post-election posts to Bluesky, a social media platform popular among liberals, and even offered to provide “free consultation for all feds facing the prospect of summary dismissal by Trump,” including for people who worked with former Trump investigator Jack Smith.

A Texas federal judge Thursday ruled Idaho, Kansas and Missouri can join a case challenging access to the abortion pill.

Trump-appointed Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk allowed the states to pursue legal action in Texas that seeks to prohibit the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) from allowing online prescriptions for Mifepristone over concerns that it could “undermine state abortion laws and frustrate state law enforcement,” according to court documents. A coalition of doctors previously challenged the FDA’s regulations of the pill due to concerns that several safety standards were ignored in order to rush its approval, but the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the FDA in 2024.

The United Kingdom (UK) indefinitely banned the use of puberty-blocking drugs for minors Wednesday after recommendations from experts that warned of an “unacceptable safety risk.”

The ban affects the sale and supply of the drugs to all citizens under 18 following an independent review by the Commission on Human Medicines, according to a press release from the British government. The ban will be reviewed in 2027.

California County Dems Move to Shield Migrants Charged with ‘Heinous Crimes’ from ICE

San Diego County doubled down on its existing sanctuary policy by voting to further restrict local cooperation with federal immigration authorities, even in cases where migrants have been charged with “heinous crimes.”

In a 3-1 vote on Tuesday, members of the Democrat-controlled San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted to further restrict local law enforcement’s ability to assist or communicate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents operating in the jurisdiction, which could include instances where a migrant has been charged with rape, assault, child abuse or other serious crimes.
