Biden to Extend Healthcare Coverage to Illegal Aliens

On Thursday, the Biden Administration announced its intention to expand healthcare access for illegal aliens, at a cost to the American taxpayers.

As reported by ABC News, the Biden White House’s proposed new rule would give access to the public health programs Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act (known as “Obamacare”) to illegal aliens who are eligible for amnesty through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The rule would change the definition of “lawful presence” so that access to such health programs would be available to DACA illegals who are still not legal citizens.

Utah Senator Mitt Romney to Likely Face a Primary Challenge

Utah Republican House Speaker Brad Wilson announced Thursday he has formed an exploratory committee to run for Senate – the first sign that he will challenge Republican Sen. Mitt Romney in 2024.

Wilson is weighing a senatorial bid because he is concerned with the “out of control spending” in Washington, and wouldn’t say whether a Romney run would dictate his plans, according to Deseret News. Romney has yet to announce a reelection run, but filed a “statement of candidacy” with the Federal Elections Commission Tuesday.

Michigan Gov. Whitmer Signs Background Checks, Safe Gun Storage Bills

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed gun restriction bills that will establish universal background checks for all firearm purchases as well as require safe firearm storage.

The gun package follows a February shooting at Michigan State University that killed three students and wounded five others. However, none of the bills would have stopped the shooting if enacted beforehand.

A majority of Americans oppose male athletes competing in female sports and giving puberty blockers to children, a new YouGov survey revealed.

The survey, sponsored by The Economist, polled 1,500 Americans on a variety of public policy issues, including several transgenderism topics. The questions polled respondents on their opinions of transgender athletes competing on sports teams, permitting minors to access puberty blockers, parental rights and drag shows.
