Democrats Lead Trump in Michigan, But Undecided Voters Could Win the Day, Poll Says

Democrats are leading President Donald Trump in Michigan, according to a new poll, but undecided voters could turn the tide.

Wood TV 8 reported on a poll by EPIC-MRA that surveyed 600 Michigan voters between August 17 and August 21. The poll shows about Trump: 53% unfavorable opinion, 55% negative job rating. 48% said if the election were now, they would vote to replace Trump. Meanwhile, 43% gave a positive job rating and 34% said they would reelect Trump.

Democratic candidates Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris all beat Trump when asked who they would vote for if the election were held now.

Undecided voters who went Trump’s way would win the day, the station said.

The poll is available here. EPIC-MRA is a Lansing-based survey research firm, according to its website.

While Trump had a 40% total favorable rating, he led Warren (31%) and Harris (25%). Sanders was only at 42% total favorable. Biden led at 48% total favorable.

Of those asked for the party affiliation, 42% identified as total Democrat and 39% identified as total Republican, the poll said, while 14% were independent.

Numbers may not be everything, as Trump does well when he interacts with crowds.

The Michigan Star on Tuesday ran a column by Michael Glassner, chief operating officer of Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., talking about rallies.

What’s even more astounding and unprecedented though, is that the crowds at Trump rallies have only gotten bigger and more enthusiastic since then – a ringing tribute to this President’s unparalleled record of keeping his promises.

Trump rallies are often compared to rock concerts. That’s a pretty good analogy, but it doesn’t quite capture the full extent of the festival-like atmosphere at these events. They’re actually the embodiment of a vast political and cultural movement, the likes of which our country has never seen before and may never see again after January of 2025.
