Commentary: Border Towns Dealing with Illegal Immigration Crisis

The 24-hour drop-off in Martha’s Vineyard of about 50 illegal immigrants was treated as a crisis by many in the media, with some comparing it to the Holocaust.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, both Republicans, began sending illegal immigrants to two large, northern blue cities: New York and Washington, D.C. This triggered howls of protest from those cities’ Democrat mayors.

Delaware Supreme Court Rules Universal Mail-In Voting Unconstitutional

The Delaware Supreme Court ruled on Friday that a state law enacting universal mail-in voting violated the state’s constitution.

“The Vote-by-Mail Statute impermissibly expands the categories of absentee voters identified in Article V, Section 4A of the Delaware Constitution,” the court wrote. “Therefore, the judgment of the Court of Chancery that the Vote-by-Mail Statute violates the Delaware Constitution should be affirmed.”

Hunter Biden

Breitbart reports that the claims come from “individuals with knowledge of the probe,” who first went to the Washington Post on Thursday. The decision as to whether or not to charge Hunter will ultimately be made by U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who was first appointed by President Donald Trump in 2017.

Dem Operatives Are Placing Stories in Network of Pop-Up Local Media Outlets to Sway the Midterms

A Democratic-operative led media website is placing stories in other pop-up websites framed as local news outlets to gain footing with voters in battleground states ahead of the November midterm elections, Axios reported Thursday.

Dozens of local news websites under the umbrella of a new company called Local Report Inc. have popped up in the last year to boost Democrats and target Republican candidates, according to Axios. These websites are receiving a steady stream of content from writers for the American Independent, a “progressive news” outfit that Democratic operative and fundraiser David Brock — who is also founder of the left-wing watchdog Media Matters for America — founded.

Epidemiologist Martin Kulldorff, Ph.D. told attendees at Hillsdale College’s Blake Center for Faith and Freedom in Connecticut Thursday evening that government health agencies that forced lockdowns and mass vaccinations to manage the COVID-19 pandemic have thrown the basic principles of public health “out the window.”

Swedish native Kulldorff, who is on leave from Harvard University and is a founding fellow of Hillsdale’s Academy for Science and Freedom, is also a co-author of the Great Barrington Declaration, a document published in October 2020 that has since been translated into 44 languages and signed by nearly one million scientists, physicians, and citizens.

The new law threatens to punish doctors who do not support the government’s established narrative, called the “scientific consensus,” on COVID-19 with revocation of their license, and livelihood.

Jim Jordan Launches Congressional Inquiry into FBI Raid on Mark Houck, DOJ’s Political Enforcement of FACE Act

Republicans Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Mike Johnson of Louisiana are launching a congressional inquiry into the Justice Department’s political enforcement of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, The Daily Signal has learned.

“Several recent actions by the Department reinforce the conclusion that the Justice Department is using its federal law enforcement authority as a weapon against the administration’s political opponents,” the Republican congressmen said in a letter to both Jacqueline Romero, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and Attorney General Merrick Garland. “Since the unprecedented leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the Justice Department has politicized enforcement of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act.”

Doctors Performed Dozens of Genital Surgeries on Minors, Data Confirms

Dozens of genital surgeries and hundreds of mastectomies were performed on children for the purpose of gender transitions from 2019 to 2021, according to insurance data analyzed by health technology company Komodo Health Inc and originally reported by Reuters.

At least 56 genital surgeries and 776 mastectomies were performed on minors aged 13 to 17 who had gender dysphoria diagnoses in the US from 2017-2019, according to Komodo. The numbers are likely an undercount since the data only includes those that were covered by insurance and doesn’t include children who don’t have a gender dysphoria diagnosis in their medical records.

Uvalde School District Suspends Entire Police Force amid Ongoing Fallout over May School Shooting

The Uvalde, Texas school district suspended its entire police force on Friday, a measure apparently stemming from the continued fallout surrounding the brutal May massacre at one of the district’s elementary schools.

That mass shooting, in which a gunman killed 19 young students and two staff members, has led to intense criticism of the Uvalde School District Police Department, which was among the police forces that failed to enter the classroom in which the shooter had barricaded himself while he carried out his massacre.
