Pennsylvania GOP Senate Race May Not See Winner Until June

The Pennsylvania Republican Senate primary is still too close to call and likely headed for a recount which could delay the declaration of a winner into mid-June.

Per the Associated Press, Dr. Mehmet Oz currently holds a narrow 1,079 vote lead over rival David McCormick, amounting to 0.08% of the 1,340,248 total votes.

Hotly contested Senate seats in Georgia, Arizona and Nevada are now well within the realm of a “toss-up” in next year’s races, a notable political forecaster is predicting.

The Cook Political Report, a longtime newsletter that specializes in U.S. election predictions, this week moved those races to its toss-up column for the 2022 elections.

In Georgia, Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock faces re-election after narrowly winning a special election this year. His victory helped tip the Senate in favor of Democrats.

Housekeeping and Updates on Georgia’s General Election Runoff

Georgian voters have another opportunity to register to vote in time for the upcoming federal general election runoff on January 5. The ballot includes both U.S. Senate seats for Georgia: Republican incumbents Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue facing Democratic challengers Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.

The deadline to register for the senatorial election runoff is December 7, and in-person voting will begin on December 14. Officials will begin mailing absentee ballots by November 18.
