Kennedy, Jr., is working to get his name removed from presidential ballots across various states, which has resulted in lawsuits in swing states where his requests were initially denied. While those lawsuits started as losses for him, upon appeal, Kennedy has seen success in removing his name from some of the ballots.

Following his withdrawal from the presidential race and endorsement of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, Kennedy has tried to get his name removed from presidential ballots in swing states. However, in some of those states, Democrats have attempted to prevent him from doing so, even after they had initially tried to keep him from being placed on the ballot.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy has suffered a series of setbacks in recent weeks that seem to have him eyeing the exit ramp. He has since reportedly sought to cut a deal with either the Trump or Harris campaigns to trade an endorsement for a role in the administration, though neither camp has reportedly been receptive to such an offer.

While still the most influential of the third-party candidates, Kennedy has seen his support nearly cut in half since President Joe Biden left the Democratic ticket in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris. In the final RealClearPolitics polling average featuring Biden as a candidate, Kennedy earned 8.7% support. Former President Donald Trump led that lineup with 43.4% to Biden’s 39.2%. The Green Party’s Jill Stein earned 1.9% while independent Cornel West took 1.6%.

Sirhan Sirhan, Robert F. Kennedy’s assassin, was recommended for parole on his 16th attempt Friday, with the support of two of Kennedy’s sons.

Prosecutors declined to appear before the parole board to argue that Sirhan, who is 77 years old, should remain in prison, the Associated Press reported.
