Braeden Farley of Spring Hill, Tennessee Named National Constitution Bee Grand Champion for 2021

Brentwood, Tennessee — At the Springhill Suite Marriott, the National Constitution Bee announced it’s fifth winner. Twenty-two students came from across the country to compete.

Michael Patrick Leahy, CEO and Editor in Chief of The Tennessee Star and The Star News Network, host of the weekday morning radio talk show The Tennessee Start Report and co-author for Guide to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights for Secondary School Students, led the competition.

Constitutional Scholar Alan Dershowitz Spoke, Fielded Questions at the 2020 National Constitution Bee

Leading constitutional law scholar Alan Dershowitz spoke during the 2020 National Constitution Bee on Saturday. All contestants had the opportunity to join the video call and ask questions afterwards.

Dershowitz touched on topics including Electoral College, impeachment, equal protection, and Supreme Court justice term limits.

The 2020 National Constitution Bee Grand Champion Declared

BRENTWOOD, Tennessee – This year’s annual National Constitution Bee Grand Champion was senior high school student Jackson Carter. He received the $10,000 educational scholarship from the Star News Education Foundation. Carter plans on attending the University of Alabama, where he hopes to double major in communications studies and economics.
The event took place at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Brentwood, Tennessee. 23 students ranging from eighth to twelfth grade arrived to compete. The Tennessee Star Report host and Guide to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights for Secondary Students co-author Michael Leahy served as the emcee.

Tennessee Will Host The National Constitution Bee, Grand Champion Set to Win $25,000 Education Scholarship

The Star News Education Foundation announced Wednesday the first ever National Constitution Bee competition will take place on Saturday, October 24 in Brentwood, Tennessee, where the Grand Champion will be awarded an unprecedented education scholarship of $25,000.

In addition to the announcement, organizers have launched a new website, GuidetotheConstitution.org, where Bee contestants may review the new podcast series of the groundbreaking book, The Guide to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights for Secondary Students.

National Constitution Bee Announces $25,000 Scholarship for Winner of June 27 Event in Washington, D. C.

SPRING HILL, Tennessee–The Star News Education Foundation announced on Thursday that the winner of the 2020 National Constitution Bee will receive a $25,000 scholarship. The second and third place finishers will receive scholarships of $5,000 and $2,000. The event will be held at the Phoenix Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. on June 27, 2020.
