A dark money network that has received millions of dollars from the Soros family’s nonprofits is now launching an “Abolition School” that seeks to indoctrinate young activists with ideas that support abolishing police forces and abolishing prisons.
As reported by Fox News, the new W.E.B Du Bois Movement School for Abolition & Reconstruction, based in Philadelphia, is being promoted by the Community Resource Hub for Safety and Accountability and other far-left organizations that have received funding from George and Alex Soros. The school denounces America as a country that was created by “overlapping forces of colonial dispossession and genocide, racialized chattel slavery, and violent patriarchal domination, whose extractive brutality toward humanity and nature alike is quickly rendering our planet uninhabitable.”
“Our students are aspiring revolutionaries and abolitionists of all ages and backgrounds who want to acquire the analytical tools and practical skills necessary to set political change into motion and sustain it through struggle,” the school declares on its website. “But we seek above all to help build the leadership capacity of organic intellectuals, those most directly impacted by oppressive structures—policing, mass incarceration, environmental racism, and poverty—and those closest to the struggles to dismantle them.”
This “Abolition School” was first announced in May and held its first lessons from August 18th to the 20th, where it hosted roughly 60 far-left activists over the course of three days.
“Through participatory and collective study of political economy, the history of global resistance movements, and the theoretical and practical aspects of social change, we aim to teach a new generation of organic intellectuals not only how to understand the world, but more importantly, how to change it,” the school says when describing its mission.
The Community Resource Hub (CRH), which is backing the new school, operates under the purview of the largest left-wing dark money network in the country: The New Venture Fund, which operates out of Washington D.C. CRH’s purpose is to provide information and “other resources to the field,” including data, research, and toolkits, among other things. An internal memo from the group was written for the purpose of studying “alternatives to policing in the context of police abolitionist frameworks, offering insights, and sharing successful strategies for advocates in the field.”
The New Venture Fund received $5.25 million from the Soros family’s Foundation to Promote Open Society between 2019 and 2021. At that time, Open Society was still being operated by George Soros, who has since transferred leadership of the group to his son Alex.
