The Michigan-based Kellogg Company announced this week that it’s rolling out a new “All Together Cereal” in celebration of the LGBT Spirit Day.
In a press release, the company said it plans to donate $50,000 to support GLAAD’s anti-bullying and LGBT advocacy efforts. Kellogg said its employees and brands joined millions of people around the world in “going purple” to support Spirit Day, which occurred October 17.

“Spirit Day is a means of speaking out against LGBTQ bullying and standing with LGBTQ youth, who disproportionately face bullying and harassment because of their identities. Pledging to ‘go purple’ on Spirit Day is a way for everyone—forward-thinking companies, global leaders, respected celebrities, neighbors, parents, classmates, and friends—to visibly show solidarity with LGBTQ youth and to take part in the largest most visible anti-bullying campaign in the world,” GLAAD states on its website.
Kellogg announced the release of a new limited-edition “All Together Cereal” with six mini cereal boxes packaged inside one larger exclusive “All Together” box to “celebrate the belief that we all belong together,” the company said.
“The box brings together six of the famous Kellogg mascots and cereals inside the same carton as a symbol of acceptance no matter how you look, where you’re from or who you love,” Kellogg explained.
Priscilla Koranteng, Kellogg’s vice president for global talent and chief diversity officer, said the company is “firmly committed to equity and inclusion in the workplace, marketplace and in the communities where we work and live.”
“We have long been allies and supporters of LGBTQ employees, their families and the community. For more than 100 years, Kellogg has nourished families so they can flourish and thrive, and the company continues to welcome everyone to the table,” she added.
GLAAD’s John McCourt said the organization was “proud to partner with Kellogg again this year to help extend the important message of Spirit Day to households across the country.”
“The All Together cereal encompasses the values of diversity, equality, and solidarity that Spirit Day is all about, and we hope that LGBTQ youth everywhere receive the message loud and clear,” he added.
Kellogg announced that it was hosting activist Joshua Rush at its cafe in New York City and offered employees the opportunity to sign the Spirit Day pledge.
