Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, who wrote the portion of the Maricopa County ballot audit addressing the signatures on the return envelopes of mail-in ballots, is holding a forum on Thursday to discuss findings of the Arizona election audit.
When addressing the findings, Ayyadurai invited members of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to answer any concerns over the procedures.
Recently, Ayyadurai has defended his conclusions against repeated attacks from the media.
In a statement, former President Donald Trump encouraged the event and raised concerns over the alleged audit findings, like that only 587 out of 1,918,463 early ballots were deemed as having bad signatures, 6,545 missing return ballot envelopes, and “multiple examples of two different early voter ballot return envelopes, under two different voter-IDs, but with the same matching signatures form.
“If they have nothing to hide, and if this was the “most secure election” in history, they would show up and answer the many questions raised by the audit, like how there were over 17,000 duplicate mail-in ballots and why they poured in after Election Day, how there were over 6,000 more ballots than there were envelopes, or why some were stamped “verified and approved,” even though they had no signature, which is against the law,” Trump said in the statement.
Furthermore, Trump challenged Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich to investigate the findings.
“These massive irregularities and corruption are now in the hands of the Attorney General Mark Brnovich of Arizona. Everybody knows what the right answer is, both in Arizona and other places!” he said.
Brnovich has pledged to use the Election Integrity Unity (EIU) to investigate the findings presented from Ayyadurai and the audit.
“The Arizona Senate’s report that was released on Friday raises some serious questions regarding the 2020 election,” Brnovich said in a statement about the letters. “Arizonans can be assured our office will conduct a thorough review of the information we receive.”
