Commentary: Send Them Back

by Matthew Boose

Only a country that has lost the will to survive would tolerate the invasion underway all across America. There is no longer a southern border to speak of. From Arizona to Maine, towns are under siege by a relentless, surging mass of humanity. The lowly citizen has been trampled underfoot to make lebensraum for the hallowed “asylum seeker,” whose conquering steps are greeted with suppliant knee.

These newcomers are an enormous, indefinite strain on public resources, which must provide schooling, housing, healthcare, and food. They bring unnecessary and unwanted violence and crime. Nobody actually wants them in their neighborhoods, including the dopey liberals who vote to bring them here. Life for Americans is challenging enough, with housing affordability at its worst levels in decades, a dearth of good-paying jobs, and a recession looming.

But as the earth orbits the sun, the Left wrings its hands and plays hot potato with the mess they created. With the end of Title 42, New York City is dumping the problem wherever it can, including on more politically moderate suburbs, like Long Island’s east end that didn’t vote for Joe Biden or open borders. Large stretches of the east end are already unrecognizable to lifetime residents after decades of unwanted Third World colonization. The “great replacement” is a myth, they said? Tell that to the people in Orange County, New Jersey who just had hotel blocks for their wedding parties canceled.

The Left pounced on “fake news” that homeless veterans were displaced in New York, but the truth isn’t much better. Thousands of “asylum seekers” have converted the city’s luxury hotels into bordellos. Reports of their licentious and lawless behavior run counter to the maudlin immigration narrative with which most people are familiar. Some of these men (and that is what most of these “asylum seekers” are) are being kept in school gyms.

This “crisis” didn’t just magically materialize. It is the choice of the leadership in Washington and “sanctuary cities” like New York. The current influx has been building up steadily for two and a half years, and prior to that, it carried on at a smaller scale virtually without interruption for decades. Donald Trump wasn’t able to solve the problem completely, no president could in so short a time, but he put the country on a sustainable track for the first time in generations. Under Joe Biden, whatever pretense of sovereignty the country still had is gone.

What is it that these “asylum seekers” are escaping? Themselves. They’re coming here to live off the prosperity others built and bringing poverty, squalor, and uncouth habits with them. They are pillagers. No imagination is needed to find the term apposite, only common sense and a healthy sense of self-preservation. Every civilization since Mesopotamia has used walls to keep such people at bay. The only difference is that these invaders have no need for weapons. Our contemptible and cowardly leadership class, supported by a considerably large and ridiculous segment of the population, invites them in. It is a peculiar sickness of character that has made a once fearsome country ludicrous.

The invaders have no fear of punishment or resistance. Why should they? Their cousins, brothers, uncles, and grandfathers have been living and working in the United States for decades without fear of deportation. They have watched a powerful country bend over backwards for them. Bilingual programs in schools have exploded. “Diversity” has made it a privilege belonging only to the upper middle class and wealthy to live in quiet neighborhoods where English is spoken.

Ronald Reagan’s 49 state landslide reelection victory was just 40 years ago. If we ever should see such margins again, they will be on the other side. The endless stream of Third World immigration has rigged Our Democracy™ against people whose ancestors bled and died on this soil.

What we are witnessing is the most malicious voter registration campaign in human history. Biden may try to slow the pace a bit, with the election approaching and more attention than usual paid to Democratic tactics, but the basic goal remains the same: to replace the American people, with their stubborn patriotism and ancient faith, with foreigners more fit for subjection and forever indebted to the state. A more profound betrayal than this cannot be imagined.
